Application is NOT running in the background all the time.
Change the background image automaticaly or manualy:

randomly;
sequentially (e.g., you may create animation of day to night changing);
by pressing button;
by shortcut in “Start” menu;
at device (windows) startup.

Installation
1. Install CAB (recommended to install in the internal memory).
2. Start with “Auto Wallpaper Changer” shortcut in “Start” - “Programs”.
3. Specify the directory with wallpaper images.
4. Set the “Change every” checkbox and select desirable schedule from the list.
5. Set the “Randomly” checkbox for random selection of pictures.
6. Mark where program will change background picture.
7. Press “Apply” button to apply changes.
8. Program will show you the message with the time of next change and then it will close. Done!

With the “Change now” button you can instantly change background picture.
On the Extras page you may specify any file that will run upon background change.

So if game or program don’t work in wide mode you can try it in normal VGA/QVGA mode. Probably it will work.
Installation:

- Copy CAB files to device.
- Install SdkCerts.cab first.
- Install second cab file.
- Do soft reset.
- Now you can see WVGAFIX3 in Programs.

Launching the application will allow you to choose a custom resolution for display, which it will actually set, without stretching. As a consequence, applications that had incompatibility issues with native resolutions have increased chance of running, since from this moment your device is reported to sport and run a display with the resolution equal to the one you have just set.

There are a handful of decent programs for Windows that will help you determine if the software on your PC is up to date. But as far as we know, nobody’s ever developed such an application for Windows Mobile. Until now. AppToDate is a utility for Windows Mobile that checks to see if your installed software is up to date, and if not, it will automatically download updates.

Right now, only a handful of applications are supported, and AppToDate is still in the early beta stages. But we love the concept. Imagine only having to install software on your phone or PDA once. From then on, every time an update is issued, it would be installed automatically.

iContact is a simple contacts applications for your Windows Mobile device which will help you scroll your contact list in iPhone style by sliding down your finger in the screen! It’s really amazing and if you get used to it iContact could be one of your everyday apps.

The app is very basic, it only lists contacts in scrollable list. Use it for accessing your contacts by scrolling the list with fingers, similar to iPhone. Just tap, drag and release.

To select a contact, just tap and release, and standard contact details dialog should appear.

HTC X-Button v1.50 is a great Task Manager exclusively for all hermes/TyTn lover!
button does not close active window on your omnia (as in desktop windows),
and if you don’t want task manager to be your favorite,
with this (freeware) program you can set x to do do (just) that.

System Requirements

Iconsoft Phone Extension works with any Windows Mobile 5.0, 6.0, 6.1 devices. Devices without a touch screen and older platforms are not supported.

Tthe Omnia’s phonepad and contact list is one of the best we have used on a Winmo device. However, Phone Extension (Phonex) by Iconsoft is indeed amazing. It is quick, extremely responsive and the UI is even more beautiful on our Omnias than what is shown in the photos.

Just a quick note: While using this program, I did have to figure out how to add numbers, where to put my serial key in, and how to get new contacts with new avatars/contact pics. But, once I figured it out I felt a little n00bish. The program is very easy to use and if anyone has any questions just post.

However, the program doesn’t support landscape mode. But, I find this not to be a problem because we were never really able click on our contact button while in landscape mode to begin with. Have fun!
