Here’s a quick, handy little application i’ve rustled up as i’m off abroad for a few days soon, and don’t want to run up a huge GPRS bill.

It lists your GPRS connections, and allows you to disable them so that they won’t be used.

Disable your connections before you leave, re-enable them when you return - piece of cake with MoDaCo NoData

Note that if you get bizarre registry errors on toggling, you need to app unlock your device (e.g. with SDA Application Unlocker).

SMS-Chat is a Windows Mobile SMS messenger that organizes your SMS correspondence into threaded SMS conversations. This way you have a separate chat for every contact with whom you exchange short text messages. You can easily follow a conversation scrolling thru chats with a finger: all messages are grouped by date. Manage your mobile texting with a flick of a finger!

Using SMS on a Windows Mobile device can be annoying because the messages aren’t threaded. This is a feature that we’ve hoped Microsoft would have included by now, but they haven’t. VITO Technology has recently released a solution for those of us that crave IM-like SMS conversations as found in other operating systems. Is SMS-Chat just a novelty, or does it make SMS much more usable? Read on to see!

The hot factor for this application is that it threads the messages together. It is not as sophisticated as other applications that thread messages such as Extreme Text on the Motorola Q, however SMS-Chat works with the operating system rather than the make of phone, so it has more usability despite being a less sophisticated product. There is certainly room for development as you’ll see soon.

The new version of SMS-Chat supports black skin in HTC touch style. Other minor changes include:
The notification window disappears when you tap the screen outside it.
When clicking the cross icon the notification closes and message shows as unread in chat.
Quick scroll has appeared for long chats.
Clicking the name in the chat opens a contact details
It is possible to minimize the application right from the chat.
Dates in chats are shown the same way as in the WM system

Phonebook - This is a really cool feature where you can call any of your friends that have htere phone numbers linked to there FB Profile.

This App also as some other cool features, such as the ability to “Poke” friends as well as leave comments(a must) view picture albums, upload pictures/videos as well as the ability to update your own status. This app shows real promise considering it is only currently V.14, i personally cant wait for the updated versions that will hopefully come in updated roms being released every few days - a week.

5. First launch takes a while to cache all info(Not really a problem just fyi

Known Issues:
- On some devices You must first turn on wifi “manually” from connection manager after soft reset (device driver is not loaded/activated). But process of applying profile still works correctly - only wifi is not turned on from WiFi Profiles application. Will be handled in new releases.

- Location triggered switching.
- Today plugin.
- Finger friendly profile selection. Better UI for IP address, data validation. Progress info when applying profile.

Installation:
